This time of the year your best bet is going to be texas rigged plastics preferrably lizards with a bullet weight at the head of the bait. 7.5 inch would be ideal at this time.
Fish it fairly slow and let it sink to the bottom before fishing it. Your going to want to raise your rod from a 9 o clock to an 11 o clock position all the way until its back to the shore. Dont reel in the bait itself, just the slack after raising your rod. Also cast into any cover you see like stumps, stick-ups, brush piles, anything submerged. Dont be afraid of casting into heavy cover, teaxas rigged baits are naturally weedless when rigged right and cover will hold the most bass. Probably want to go get some new line (12 lb at least) if you havent already, the cover will be a little rough on your line especially when a fish gets hold of it.
