fishing during the winter?

there is a pond thats big around my house in massachusetts and its now the winter, and today is about 60 degrees and humid, and the pond is not frozen, are the fish bitting around this time of year, its really warm out which is odd since its almost january, thank you.
 
The water is colder than the summer time. The fish will be slower and not bite quite a hard.

But think of it this way - a bad day fishing is better than spending time with a nagging wife...............
 
Fish have to eat all year long. It's really cold so fish with slow presentations.
 
They won't bite as nearly as good as they did in spring or summer. Fish deep and you might catch some fish. Just because it's warm, doesn't mean fish is going to bite in the winter. Try it, it will be fun, and you might catch something. If you don't know what kind of fish is in the pond, get some worms, sinkers and bobbers and see. It's fun trying to catch as many different kinds of fish that they're are.
 
Fish deep and you should catch..Good Luck even if you don't catch anything it's great to be outside trying.
 
winter is good to go fishing but you have to remember that the fish are very slow in cold water go with live bate or power bate.
