i want to start treating used medication and want to know if i should remove the bio wheel off of their filter(penguin marineland bio 350)??? i know the carbon must be removed but not sure about the bio wheel. Where should i place the filter pads after i removed them so that i don't lose the good bacterias?? Lastly should i let the filter run while treating them with the medias or should i just unplug the whole filter??? please help; it's the first time in that very long time that i am having to treat my fish so please help me...thanks in advance
im treating my oscar who lives with a jack dempsey...jack used it have it too but it went away. I have no other tank to house to separate them because all my other tank are community tank (guppies, platies, pleco, tetra, etc) so i can't house the dempsey there because he will eat them.
