FISH TANK WITH BROKEN GLASS!!!! HELP WITH REPLACING!!?

hi! soz bout all the drama in the title i though it would get more ppl to answer :)
well i don't have fish in the tank right now but i wanted to get some... well what happened is that i moved and the fish tank's squarish small side broke during the process, and i was researching how to fix it and i didn't really get what ppl were saying so im here... the tank is a 10 gallon and i was wondering how to fix it (in easy language) and how thick the glass has to be....
ill give u more detail about the fish tank... well its a 43(L) x 30(H) x 27(D) cm and the side that is broken is the 30 x 27... and when it broke it basically had crackes going all through that side so i took all the broken glass out(basically just pulled the glass pieces out...) and it currently has some silicon stuck on it...
continued...
the lid holding black thing is still stuck on... do i have to take it out so i can put the glass in? or can i bend it a bit or something so that it would fit
my understanding is that u need to get all the silicon and glass off and clean it and then get a new glass pane and use silicon to stick it back on.... im not sure about the details... so if u could plz tell me all the detailed steps to fixing it and stuff i need and how much it would cost me (australia) and some helpful tips would be nice :)
and plz don't just copy and past.... well thanks
hey thanx for answering but where i live fish tanks are really expencive i the cheapest 10 gallon i could find was $60
god i wish i lived in america...
