i want to get some real fish tank plants. I been buying a lot of the cheaper stuff. I bought 2 so far. The meijer woman told me they should do good in my tank. i don't think so, so could someone else help me. I has a plant that kinda looked like wide blades of grass, it died. I put it in a ten gallon by its self when it started to look like crap, and it was in the sun with a light and all, but i don't turn the light on until about 3 and i shut the light off at about 9 because i go to class and the come home, and then go to bed. i have one now, it was tall and pretty, now it's droopy and bends. at night in meijer they shut their aquarium lights off, as well as i do. my fifty have gallon tank is next to the window as well.
I was thinking of getting some java fern, but can anyone help me on what i should be getting?
Fish:
4 platy (growing them as babies, they are medium sized, but not full grown)
4 swords
2 guppy
4 molly
2 danio
about 10 neon tetra
about 5 glolight tetra
2 different tetra (not sure of names)
a kissing gourami (it's other mate passed)
a clown loach (i had snails bad)
a pleco.
3 corys
and a gold algae eater.
I have 2 lights, 2 bubblers. 45 gal filter and one sixty. also have a small round ultraviolet light thats on all the time.
