Okay so I got a (10) gallon fish tank. I have added mixed colored gravel, a air pump with bubbles, 4 lives plants with 2 still growing(chain sword, melon sword, lilly pads red and green), a breathtaking fish house, a 3d background featuring coral. Tank has a good size filter pump on it too.
Now for the fish:
-3 female bettas with one gold one coming. (They get along terrific and are quite playful.)
-1 male betta. (Has many options if you catch my drift and the females follow him like a pimp.
-3 fruit fish. (Pink, Purple, Blue)
-3 GloFish. (Green, Red, Orange) <----Very pretty!!!
-1 pleco sucker fish.
-2 snails. (They are Trapdoor, but I am considering switching them for Ramshorn)
Okay so I feed them once in the morning and once in the evening with tropical fish flakes, sometimes pellets and give them treats of dried bloodworms and dried krill every now and then.
I have a vacum and do partial water changes every 2 weeks and monitor water PH levels and stuff with test strips.
I use organic stuff like stress coat, easy balance, aquasafe.
Anyways, so this tank is really breathtaking and I was wandering if you guys can suggest something for me as far as tips or do I need to change something up.
Also I got a huge pack of replacement filters. What I was wandering is is if I take it out and spray jet it clean can I reuse it until it falls apart?
I do not see why not. I just don't think it should have to be replaced every 2 weeks when it can still be used.
