I have just put three danios into a new tank, it has had a platy in it for three days and set up for almost two weeks, just went out to collect my son and came back in and two out of the three fish are lying at the bottom of the tank - one is now up and about I see. I have tested the water and it seems to be fine, temp is fine, I dont know what has gone wrong do I leave them in there or take them back out to their old tank or will this just cause more stress?! I need help!
Its 260 litres, the filter is a fluval 305, its external and it was strips I used!! I didn't know they were rubbish!
If it is stress is there anything I can do? I have turned the lights off.
I added them in a bag as you would if they had just been bought from a shop, they were in the water for around 20 minutes then I opened the bag and let them come out themselves
Ok, they are all swimming around again, I think it may have been stress, panic over - I was totally devastated there. Going to buy a proper test kit tonight I had no idea the strips were no good.
