fish tank decoration ideas?

also i want ideas of things i can make at home.
i have a really small tank, like 3 gallons but i want it to look nice without looking overcrowded. all i have is green rocks as substrate on the bottom and a small cup that the fish hide in/behind. what else can i put in except plants that will look nice but give the fish room to swim?
 
Find a large rock from outside and clean it with hot water. Don't use soap or bleach but make sure it has not dirt on it.
