Fish stopped eating, eyes fell out?

I have a community tank, plecos, chinese algae eaters, sword-tails, scissor-tail rasboras, guppies etc. A while back one of my scissor-tails (the biggest and I assume the oldest) stopped eating and became really thin. Eventually he started losing some color and now the other day his eyes fell out. The tank appears to be healthy, I have not introduced any new fish for a long time. All the other fish, including the other scissor-tails, are very active and healthy looking. Is he just old? Could it be some sort of infection, even though the rest of the tank is fine?

HIS EYES FELL OUT??? WOW WAT HAPPENED THERE??? ok well it might have been some changes in diets maybe if its new food?? and if u used sink water...bad idea thats REALLY bad for fish trust me mine died when i use to have a fish like...8 years ago?? lol hope this helped
hope ur little fishy gets better =(

Wait a minute ... is the fish that has no eyes still alive??
If they appearhealthy their proallyfine butchangesum water as soon as signs of rot orwhatever appear.

I'm pretty sure that there is no disease in this tank. If it's not eating and it's eyes fell out, He may, as you predicted, be too old. If possible, separate your sick fish into a separate tank, and keep an eye on him for a week or so, if he still looks sick, and especially if he looks like he's suffering, you might want to look into ways to kill im humanly. (PLEASE do it HUMANLY!!!) If he is looking better, keep him in there for a while more, and when he acts normal, add him to the rest of the fish. If it's not possible, you might just want to let him live as long as possible, because I don't know of a way to protect him if he's in a shared environment. If other fish show the same symptoms, go to a fish store immediately, and ask a professional for help. I hope for the best.

BTW, my friend wrote this (except I changed the mispelled words), she doesn't have yahoo so I'm posting this for her.
