...dry? my boyfriend won me a goldfish yesterday.
i bought a fishbowl at walmart today.
im planning on using water bottle water to fill it.
the decorations and rocks that the bowl came with were rinsed in tap, must they dry before i put them in and fill the bowl with water or will it be fine?

they are safe, just as long as they are cleaned, you don't need to let them dry

You rinse the rocks to remove dust particles and any color that may rub off. The rocks are not the issue.

Please purchase a proper tank with heavy filtration for this goldfish. They do not belong in bowls- they will suffer from suffocation and ammonia poisoning.

They are ready, no need to dry.

Goldfish are very messy, and are actually pond fish that can grow to a foot and a half long and live over 30 years! The bigger container you can keep them in, the better your fish will do, and since they are messy fish, a filter is a huge help too. Bowls are considered inadequate homes even for small fish.
