Fish is a good fertilizer, but gar fish are huge, should I chop it up and bury it

over a larger area? Gar fish and bowfin I in the river behind my home are anywhere from 4 pounds to 15 pounds and the ones I catch have been about 7 pounds. If I bury the whole fish beneath a garden row will that be too much?
