I've read some research and yesterday i even checked out a book from the library thats all on betta care and breeding
Sunday i bought a female betta from Petsmart and i want to breed her to my male whom i 've had for a month or two. I have the male in a 20 gallon tank and the female is in a container right next to it so they can get introduced and maybe he'll build a bubble nest but i've also read that there are bettas who do not build bubble nests they wrap them selves around the female to release the eggs. I dunno if he's that kind or not. I've been feeding them bloodworms along with their regular food and in the tank i've reduced the water level to about 5 inches. The water temp is about 73 degrees but i have the light on right now so maybe it will warm up. I do not wish to breed for sales i'm trying to breed because fish are my hobby. any help is greatly appreciated!Thank you!
I'm new to their breeding i've bred guppies before but never bettas. I guess i've gotta learn sometime. Although i do have gravel in there i scraped over half of it to the other side in order to make room
Umm vulcan i'm not sure about the filter i know its a whisper filter for a 20 gallon that sticks to the side of the tank. This tank was given to me and the filter came with it
