FISH BLOAT! this is Serious?

Hi.

I have a freshwater algae eater (I know, this is shameful but I can't remember what kind, it is not a plecostumus though) and I just got him last week. My tank is cycled and all my water levels seem ok.

But this fish is BLOATED! To the max! His stomach is so bloated he looks like hes going to pop! I doubt its overeating, although I do have alot of algae.

I'm very concerned, I haven't even had him for a week.

He might infect my Danios in my tank, and one of my danios look a little bloated too.

HELP!

idk, you can probly find a anti-bacteria thing at petsmart or something. half the time when my fish get that sick they are goners, probly the best cure is to just clean the water really good and add some extra salt (non-iodized) i did that with my terror after she had her entire tail fin torn off and its 18 months later and shes still going strong, but diseases are a compleatly different story.
