Hi everyone just made a fish meal with whole wheat pasta and wild orange roughy fillet, i ate one piece no prob, into the second piece i felt an overwhelming boost of anxiety, all i cooked it in was with garlic, lemon, olive oil and basil. I'm taking 5mg of paxil, 5mg of norvasc nothing crazy. I've read where fish oil could cause something like this but just a piece of fish? Keep in mind ive never had this issue in the past.

no way a piece of fish or fish oil will cause a sudden reaction like this unless you are having an alergic reaction to some toxins in the fish. most likely it was something to do with the stimulating effects of some of the herbs you mixed in with the cooking. Fish oil helps slowly to rebuild the brains fatty levels. It's not a "drug" or stimulant. Also If you haven't eatten in a while a then a meal might suddenly spike your blood sugar levels which could cause some reaction.

no, that would not cause it. i have anxiety and have had it for years. my psychiatrist, who knows i will not take meRAB, told me to take fish oil capsules. fish is brain food. its good for you. studies show it has a positive effect on the brain.
