Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is swarmed by reporters as he enters his office before a rare Sunday Senate session to consider a possible deal to avoid the “fiscal cliff.” In January, a package of painful tax increases and spending cuts are set to kick in. Even if a deal is struck, it will have to be passed by the Democrat-controlled Senate, then the GOP-held House.
