**First time author- what's a good contract vs. bad one?

I have no agent representing me, as all they do is submit your work to publishers, which you can do yourself. So if I actually get a bite, it'll just be inexperienced me negotiating and signing with them. What do I need to look out for/expect?

P.S. What are the big time publishers to look up (my works are adult fantasy full length novels)?
