Ok so im SUPER excited because Im going to be a counselor for the first time this summer at a camp for children who have one or both parents incarcerated. I went to a training today and they gave us a ton of great ideas to keep the kid occupied between group activities. But I would love some more ideas, the kids are between ages 8-11. And I will have a group of girls. Also we are aloud to play music in the cabin at night and in the mornings. But it has to be classical or christian. Any ideas? Keep in mind these are 8-11 year olds.

and for your answer.... um idk.. play dolls or something? lol

if it has to be classical or christian, try some christian rock bands that are a little more main stream. They will probably enjoy it more, like Relient K is a good band, and they are considered christian rock.

Make overs are fun too!
you guys can play fun games like truth or dare (with rules, certain questions and dares should not be aloud while playing, you should moniter that)
If there is a park near by, when i was 8 and 9 i LOVED playing grounders.
Face painting
and TIE DYING - my personal fave at camp!
