first smear test what to do with fanny..grooming?

hi im off for my first smear test and i have been single for nearly a yr and its like a jungle down there im not sure what to do with it do i shave it all off trim it or what im dreading it but more worried about what the nurse will think about my bush?serious answers please.
any nurses comments would be great.
