First Show You Went To?

I haven't really been to any shows aside from local banRAB no one knows about. In about a week I'll be attending my first real show with The Toasters, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and Deal's Gone Bad playing.

I'm also probably going to see Dillinger Escape Plan and Fake Problems play, although I'm not to big of a fan of Dillinger Escape plan but my friend is who will be there with me.

Edit: COme to think of it, I forgot I did see Diana Krall a few months back.

My first show was Roy Orbison with the Crickets (Buddy Holly's former band) opening, my dad took me. I can't say it had much of an impact on me as a nine year old or however old I was but looking back I'm pretty happy I got to see an early rock legend like Orbison in concert before he died.

The ORABpring back in 1998 when they were supporting Americana. They were really one of my first banRAB and my mum knew how much I liked them so she took me to see them. It was a pretty good show, but I really didn't know any of their previous material so I was a little confused when they weren't just playing songs from Americana.

I think that the first real concert I ever went to was Blue Oyster Cult, when I was in 5th grade. It didn't really have too much of an impact on me though. I enjoyed it, but didn't think it was that amazing.

Slayer. 1987. A nice introduction @15 to the world of live music! The days when you NEVER got I.D'd at gigs. I think I was completely smashed on 2 pints of beer. Those were the days!
