First gun idk wat to get Springfield XD45 or XD9?

I know i want a springfield and i know i want a handgun. But idk whether to get the 9mm or the 45 ACP i like the stopping power of the 45 but idk if i can handle the recoil im sure i can because dnt u get use to recoil eventually? And the 9 i know dnt recoil very much so please help me i am using for target and someday conceal carry please help! Thanks
also thought about the new XDM from springfield in 9mm or even maybe 40 if u know nethin bout 40's please tell thanks again
 
I'm in the same situation. I really liked the look of the XD's especially the XDm.

I have also looked at the taurus 1911. Heard some bad reviews from them in the past, but they seem to be making better guns. And the blue steel ones look pretty cool. Right now i'm looking at a Springfield 1911.

Sorry don't have too much for your answer. Also, you should be able to handle the recoil fine. Unless you're 13. Then you might have trouble. :)
