...best to buy in 2nd hand...? condition, and what do i need to look for in a car? mileage? sound of engine? Ive been saving up money working, but i really dont want to buy a £5,000-£8,500 car just for going shopping, taking my sister and mother places, and one off road trips. How much would be a good amount to set aside for a 2nd hand car too? UK answers are highly valued but US can answer too, thanks!

I was just saying because ive asked this before and people were asking what i meant by certain words and kept asking if i meant $1500 and gave me names of cars that arent very common over here, that was why i said uk answers, im sorry! please answer! x
