First Ducati ... Am I Getting a Good Price?

I'm talking to a dealer about a new '07 SR2 1000. MSRP is $10,500, the dealer is offering $9,500.

I know it's not a steal, but it seems like a fair deal. Taxes are about $800, and he's charging $150 for registration/plates. So that's about $10,500 out the door.

I'm getting a minor discount on accessories (10%) and maybe I'll see if they will throw in the first service free of change.

Any comments or tips? If I buy this then it will be my first brand new bike.

Sticker price out the door is a fair deal for you and the dealer. You might ask him to throw in the first service for free and 20% off your next accessories purchase - so make it a big one.
