So my brand new galaxy s2 is charging for the first time as we speak, just as i am searching for answers about how to most effectively preserve the battery. So most people have probably heard all these "tricks" to improve battery life by doing something with the battery. Some people say you should charge it for 12-15 hours, even if the phone says the battery is full, others say to charge it for 6 hours, etc.
And then there is this whole "charge until 100%, remove battery and charger, insert charger and battery for 3 minutes, and viola, better battery time!"
I have been trying to read up on lithium based batteries and the only thing that has been concluded on my part is that the battery should avoid hot temperatures and that it should never ever be fully discharged, because both those things will permanently lower your battery time.
anybody here more at home with these things that care to give advice?
