First car help please?

im 15 im looking around on craig's list for a used car. im not planning on buying one yet but just getting some ideas for when i turn 16. i just want really any car. i want it to look decent and maybe a 1990+. how many miles should i expect for a car for $2000- $4000? what should be my limit on miles for a used car?
 
Try looking in your local paper or www.autotrader.com also. If you go to church check with some of them. Maybe you can find one that was driven only to church on Sunday. lol Seriously, the mileage is roughly 10 to 12,000 per year. If you could have your parents or grandparents help you look and listen to their advice would be a GREAT help to you. Don't be set on the first or even the second car because if you do sure as you're reading this a better one will come available to you. Be flexible. You may not get exactly everything you think you need, i.e. cruise control, electric this or that, 2 or 4 door. The main thing you need to worry about is the condition of the whole vehicle. If is a piece of junk but has a booming stereo that won't get you from point "A" to point "B" without a hassle. Think of why you need a car MAINLY first. Then think of the vehicle.
