Im starting my sophomore year next september and I wanted to get a car but I wanted to know what car would be better a Chevy Nova or ford maverick I have a budget of about $2000 i also wanted to know how much would an old bmw 745 would be and leave suggestions on what other cars i should get and please no honda civic hehe.
 
A VW jetta would be a good car for you in your budget. Don't buy in old car, repair is too much and it's hard to find parts and people to work on it. Also, look at Hyundai elantras.
