Hello everyone.
I need advice before I get my first car. I am 22 years old college student and I just got pretty decent paying job, the Only downfall is that its fa r- about 45 miles from where I leave. For now I take public transportation to work ( its take about 2 hours ) and it is killing me spending 4 hours a day ( sometimes even more ) just on a compute alone. The town that I work in has poor transportation system so I have to come 1 hour earlier to work just because i cant never know for sure when will Next bus arrive. SO I DO NEED TO DRIVE. I am debating toyota corolla over honda civic.
when I used to take my driving lessons I drove a corolla and for some reason I didn't feel like it was a safe car . It felt super light . almost like a was driving a toy car . Outside of my lessons i drove my husband's car ( 2001 GRAND Pontiac ). Although his car is old if felt very sturdy .It is a bit harder to maneuver but the general feeling of safety was incredible. Here is the real dilemma, I leave in New york City and Carola is a smaller car and that would be awesome for parking.I don't know much HOnda or any others car . Does honda civic feel sturdier then corolla ?? I am open minded is there are other good cars that are safe for long distances and low on gas ? thanks in advance for your time.
