I've managed to change the vodaphone firmware of my samsung z105 using this
tutorial :

and this non vodaphone firmware :

connect between serial, usb and phone...
start winimei press unlock...
and the phone is unlocked...

Yes, Z105 cable uses both USB and Serial.
