Firefox+Shockwave+Flash Player = Frustration!?

I use fire fox and i need to download shockwave, adobe flash player but it wont let me, says i need additional plug ins or some shit but I have been searching trying to fix this for hours and no luck! can anyone give me a simple step by step on how to do this???

K only thing i know you can do is go to the main websites for shockwave,flashplayer and download it from there site for firefox browser..If that don't work you should try uninstalling flashplayer and shockwave player..Also check this out http://kb.mozillazine.org/Macromedia_Flash
