Basically, it let’s you perform a lot of actions much more efficiently. When I look for screenshots I always copy the image to the clipboard. This involves a right click, finding the right menu entry and left clicking again. Now this is replaced by left click, drag and drop. Turn the page to take a look at how this is done, and how you can use this to increase your productivity and minimize the work you need to do.

While this might not seem like a lot of saved time, but if you copy images, links a lot, in the long run it means a lot. For me the benefit isn’t really about time, it’s about muscle stress, and simply ease of use. Clicking and finding is worse on your hand and you eyes, so this method takes some stress off your body.
There are a bunch of search engines to choose from, and also a bunch of commands which you can place around the screen on a grid. You can also control background color, opacity and whatnot, to make it blend into your theme. Overall I think this is an awesome plugin, one of the best usability ones I’ve ever seen, so head on over to the Firefox Plugins page and give it a* go!
