I want to find out what was on the site of my old house before it was built, but cant find any informative websites. Anybody know of any?

You could always check Central Library, they often have records stretching back a long time, sometimes you get lucky and have photographs to go with it.

Not sure about websites dealing with individual streets, but there's plenty of sites related to the history of Liverpool. The only thing I could suggest would be to type your address into google but I assume you've already done that.

you's have to go to a local or main library in you area, or a planning office, they will have all the old records on the street you want.

there is so much old info that it isnt availible on the net.

Go to the central library and look in the reference department. They should have copies of old maps of the city that you can look at. You are allowed to make copies of those over fifty years old. You will then have a copy of when and where your street appeared or disappeared OK
