Finding Files

New Guy here. I just transferred, or at least I reason to believe I transferred, a pdf to my sdcard on my nexus one.

How can I find it now? View it? Attach it to emails? In general how do I search for files on the sdcard? Do I need an app or is there a native file manager I just can't find?

Thanks,
Dave

PS. Did you know there is already a few music files on the card?!

There are a number of file managers on the market, such as Linda.

I'm not sure if the Nexus One can view PDF files natively. If it can you should be able to just open the file with whichever file manager.

If not (and I know most Android phones can't), you will need to download a PDF viewer. It maybe able to find and open PDF files without the need for a file manager.

There are some MP3s on your SD card already because your phone comes free with some.

I use OI File Manager, but I assume any file manager can do this. I run the file manager. Find the PDF file. Long press it. Click "Send" (this may be different on your file manager of course), and it magically opens in GMail.

Alternatively, from GMail, go to Menu, and press Compose. Enter the details of the email (to, subject, etc). Menu, Attach. Select your File Manager (you have installed one by now right?). Find the file. Select it. It's now attached to your email. Send. Done.
