ok here is the problem....i watch an anime a couple months ago and lost the name of the anime if you know this anime tell me asap im losing my mind trying to find it out!!! >_

I rented that from the Blockbuster, and it involved a blue monster. ANN doesn't list a studio, but this is one of the big OVA boom titles where a lot of little studios were getting together and just putting stuff out because people were buying it. I remember it being fairly mediocre, but not like... MD Geist or something.
It was released by AnimEigo in the US on dvd in 2002. It doesn't seem to be in stock at any of my favorite retailers, though.

Not so much the networks as the studios who so generously spend their time and money to license anime in America for dubbing, subbing, etc.
I think it was a steam punk anime but im not really sure.
All I remember was that there was a buy and his dog I think and his grandfather. He seperated himself from his grandfather in this place and he pretended to be a reporter and a gang leader told him to write about their cause. Next thing, there is a large gang fight. I forgot what else happens but I think they all live in a large floating thing. Im not sure. Ill see if I can remember more..

I remember this anime I watched a looong time ago... decades old but I thought it was VERY interesting and I really really would appreciate some help figuring out which it was.
All I remember is that it has a lot to do with warriors and swords and elements...
There were two groups of guys who all wielded katanas of different elements. They seemed like ordinary katanas when they're not fighting.
I only remember specific scenes- one of the loners used electricity, he seemed a brother figure to the main character or something...
there was one scene where two group of four rushed to each other and then they all froze- then it was a 1 v 1 battle in order- the rest would stay frozen until the others dueled each other.
As they fell, the swords fell into the ground, impaling themselves and cracked as their wielder was defeated. Most of the duels ended in draws.
Also:
One of the guys has a signature move where he slowly rotates his katana in front of him and there's this dramatic scene of the grass blowing etc... and summons a giant dragon-shaped energy attack or something. I remember the main character facing this guy and losing the first time, but comes back and barely defeats him the second time around... I forgot how ...
This anime seemed very interesting and I REALLY want to know which it was! I remember watching this about 10-15 years ago.

Ok I remember very little about women... I don't think there was much involved.
The main character seemed just past his teenage years I'd say 18-21 years old. It's not about huge muscled guys.
I've gone through dozens of anime on A.N.N and still can't find it lol i'm still looking...
