Finding Anime Names & General Anime Q&A

Hello... Does anyone know the name of this cartoon or anime? Its really old(maybe over 10 years old?)... I remember there being robots or something like that... that have weird things for arms like tennis rackets or golf clubs.. and they use them to fight. I think there was a good side and a bad side(maybe of robots too?). I don't remember much else about it. :cry:

Dunno if I'll have enough info here to get any help, but worth a shot i guess.

A year or two ago, I was watching an anime show on dvd at a friend's. It was awhile ago, so i don't remember many details. I'll provide as many details as I can. The show was designed for an older audience, and had some language. The premise of the show was four young guys(my guess is twenties) travelling together. Two of them were very immature, while the other two were more mature. The two more immature guys were always fighting and bickering. One of them had long hair, and seemed to be quite full of himself. One particular scene I remember was in a restaurant. Some guys at another table were harrassing the waitress, so one of the four main characters threw an ashtray at one of the guys at this other table. As it turned out, the waitress was an assassin hired to kill them. She found it ironic that the guys who had just helped her were her target.

That is as much as I can remember, so any information about what this show is, such as the title would be helpful.

thats DEFINATLY Saiyuki,in fact that particular episode is from the 1st series,and said waitress is Yaone...i can practiclly explain that episode since its 1 of my favorites lol

and ps Goku's definatly not in his twentiess(at least 500 yrs old) :wink:
