A dear friend of mine is facing dire financial straits. She and her husband lost their son after a long battle with an illness which incurred thousands of dollars of medical bills. They lost their house and now have bad credit, as well. I'm wondering if there's any resource they could look into to help rebuild their credit, their finances and their lives. It seems brutally unfair that after suffering the loss of their SON they also have to struggle financially. They're good people and I want to help in any way I can.
