I have signed up to a Heavy Equip. Operator school, got the pell grant, but being very full time its almost impossible to get the perfect part time job for money to live on. The lady mentioned that the dept. of labor will help with that, anybody ever heard of such a thing ? also she said i would get the difference if there were money left over from the grant, but she also says they never ever give the full 5500.00 meaning there wouldnt be left over cash and i would need a student loan as well as the pell grant. the question being, does the depart. of labor help with money while you are in training ?
