I've been in a abusive relationship with my children father for two years now and he was very controlling and threatening that I had to drop my classes two times when school went on I appealed the first time and told my fa the truth about my situation (she gave me aid agin) and I had to drop out again because of the same thing but this time I'm moving out of state without him so me and my kids can have a good life. The only problem is that I'm worried that I can't get any more aid from dropping these classes two terms in a row. Can I appeal again? I'm afraid that they'll think I'm not serious this time too and won't help me. I really want to finish school and I don't want him to think that he "won" by making me stay down and depending on him.

You shouldn't lose finacial aid unless it is 2x in a row. You should be able to reappeal and tell them what you have told us. ALso, talk to the head of the fFA and tell him/her. You should be able to keep your aid.

Are you really serious? I mean, you told them that last time and you went back with the father who was abusive. So basically you lied to them last time they let you get more aid. What's to show them this won't happen again. I feel for your situation, but really, this is taxpayer money that you are wasting unless they are loans. Why would you have to go back with him? There are plenty of other options out there for you especially being a single mom with kids. TONS of assistance.
