My son was admitted to CalArts. We received his financial aid letter finally today. They only gave him $5500 combined from two federal student loans. The letter also states he is ranked as qualified for a scholarship but currently the funds have been depleted and he's been placed on a wait list. We know of two students who were given pretty large financial aid packages even though the parents make more money than us and we also have another son in college. These two students have decided not to attend calarts, but they were admitted into the school of visual arts and my son was admitted into the music school.
