I am trying to get the most financial aid possible for college. I am a good student, 4.0 GPA, challenging courses, etc. I am very low income, so if I were to get into a school that meets 100% of need, how much should I expect to receive in grants? I am referring to Chapman University. Among my list are University of Redlands, Beloit College, Champlain College. These are all private institutions. For my situation would these be the best schools to try to get the most aid possible, or should I also be applying to a few public schools?
Also, is it important to apply for a lot of outside scholarships, or would getting these scholarships just lessen the amount of grants that the college will supply?
Will applying early action increase my grant money?
Thank you to whomever supplies me with answers!
