My community college over paid me by $1300 on my financial aid spring 2010. They are threatening to hold my transcripts. I originally made a payment plan with them but was unable to pay it. They are unable to put me through to the Educational department because it was the schools fault. They paid me my money i should have gotten and then turned around and the business office paid me the same amount again. I asked about it (i don't have proof though) they said everything was fine. Then August 2010 before school they saw the problem and told me i owe them money even though it was their fault. For a financial aid full time student and part time job holder that is a lot of money. I had put that original money toward my living expenses. Can I fight them or do i just summit and try and pay it off and not go back to school tell i do pay it off. This is the second semester I am out of school since that happened.
