...get loans, no credit...? I am 22, technically considered dependent on parents even though I am independent on taxes and live 2000 miles away. My parents make too much to qualify for the fafsa, and I don't have credit so I can't get loans and they won't cosign. I would love to go to school, just can't pay out of pocket.

Unless, your dad is like Bill Gates or something, FASFA can help you get money. The only thing is that the money FASFA helps you get will have to be paid back.

FASFA isnt like a scholarship, it just determines your eligibility for certain grants. FASFA collects your info and they send it you your schools finicial aid office and they put togethere a package of grants and loans that will cover your expenses, if you accept the package. In most cases you just have to go over to their office and fill out the paper work.
