Dear Finacial Aid Award Appeal committee,
My name is _______ and I am writing this letter in hoping that you wll give me another chance by granting me my financial aid. In this past year I have noticed that I have been neglecting my studies and as a result it has lowered my gpa but there is no one to blame but myself. I took college too lightly and thought that making friends was more important. Throughout my years I have met amazing people and although it was a blessing it was also my downfall because it pushed me away from my studies and from my classes. I started to forget why I was at school, that I was there to become someone and make myself known with the teachings and knowledge provided by my professors givin to me by the school.
Due to my current situation in order to help myself be successful and to increase my gpa I have compiled a list for myself:
1.I will set study times and become more organized with my studies and leisure time.
2.I will visit my advisor often to stay on the right path for my academic plan.
3.I will keep asking my professors for help and also ask on how to do well in their classes.
4.I will attend all my classes everyday without missing a single day unless it is a very important emergency.
I want to be successful not only for myself but for my family and for my future. I know I have made mistakes in the past but I will make sure not to let them happen again. Financial Aid is very important to me because I have no other way of paying for the tuition and paying rent for my housing. I will also be letting down my roomate which we share a room. So please I would like another chance to prove myself to Cal Poly that i was not chosen to come to fail but to be another successor of this amazing school.
