I need help with getting money for college because i am so lost! I have $6000 guaranteed from the school i'm going to. I have a 529 account that has about $3808 in it. After calculating my fixed costs (tuition, fees, room&board, &orientation fee) i need about 1500 total for the year. I don't know what to do now. My parents can't cosign any private student loans for me because they can't pay my loans back. Help! I already have talked to my school and they told me that financial aid awards a maximum of 5500 to freshman per year, but they've awarded me 6000 through my school already. i'm so lost. i need expert help.
