I am thinking about attending the University of Virginia; however, I live in North Carolina and would have to pay the enormous out of state tuition that is almost equal to the tuition of a private college. I have heard of some schools that allow out of state students with certain GPAs and SAT scores to only have to pay in state tuition. Does UVA have this benefit? The only way I can go to this school is if I get the tuition down to the regular in state tuition, otherwise I will have to take out loans or attempt to get some very large scholarships to cut the cost from $31,00 a year to $9,000.
