I'm 21 years old and I live in Illinois. At last minute I decided to go to school in town and had to change my fafsa information. It did not reach my school in time. I just received paperwork from them to give to the school Unfortunately I will have to make payment and hopefully be reimbursed later. However I was chatting with a friend and she had heard that there is no financial aid left in the state and that I probably will not be given anything which worries me more than I can explain.
I just spent my last $258.65 to pay for 33% of my tuition not including the $25 fee I will be charged in 14 days. I now have $2 and change in my account and I will not be able to afford books. To be quite honest I am freaking out worrying that there is no fafsa left and that I wont receive any help.
I was wonder if there is anyone out there who knows if this is true or if there is someone who can tell me what I don't know. I would really appreciate it. Also if someone knows of what I can do in my situations. This is my first time college experience. So far Im screwed :/
