financial aid eligiblity for a former ft employee?

i am quitting my job in december to return to undergrad studies full time (i am currently a part time student). do i have to wait an entire year before i am eligible for full fafsa or can apply in 2010 and receive aid as a full time, unemployed student?

I think the dead line for priority is march and late filers is September 21 check the fasfa web site different states have different dead lines
