Ok, so I was wondering if anyone would be able to approximate an estimated family contribution for our family. My daughter has been strongly considering Smith her first choice for some time. However, we are worried that we will not be able to afford to send her there.
Me and my husband, if my estimates are correct, average $80,000 per year. We have been falling behind on our bills, and we recently had to work to get our house out of foreclosure. We are not well-to-do by any means, and we only hope that we can afford to send our daughter to her dream school. Also, she will be a first generation college student, if that plays any part in the decision.
Any opinions on the EFC or the amount of aid that Smith may be willing to contribute would be very helpful!
