I obviously did not make myself clear enough. My intentions are to go back to work having my own business, and at age 57, this is possible. I have not been milking SSI. I had major back surgery. I am now able to go back to school, not work yet because I am still healing. I did not renig on my student loan. My doctors and I did not think I would be able to work again. Now, I know I can work eventually. My question is that if I go back to school with the help of financial aid, I will need to pay back the original amount of my financial aid. I don't know whether to do this or not because it would put me in heavy debt at my age. I really want to work for a long time, not retire. I would be happy to pay back the original amount owed by me if it is not financially a bad idea.
