hi all, im very new to financial accounting. I know the basic format of the debentures, but cant seem to know what goes where in simple problems. so this is my sample question.
The following transactions relate to a company regarding the issue of debentures (face value being $100 each)
a. 1000 debentures issued at $95 each, repayable at $100 each
b. 1000 debentures issued at $95 each, repayable at 105 each.
c. 1000 debentures issued at $105 each, repayable at $105 each.
d. 1000 debentures issued at $105 each, redeemable at $100 each.
could anybody please prepare a journal entry for these transactions? any help will be greatly appreciated.
