Finally getting rid of my Sony Ericsson s700i. Looking for large screen.

Howdy!

I've had my Sony Ericsson s700i for a few years now, and I still love the phone, it's absolutely great, but it's taken a beating over that time, so it's about time to get a new phone. One thing I love about this phone is that it has such a crystal clear, big screen (at least for the time).

I've been looking at some of the Nokia Smartphones, but I don't even know where to start. I'm looking for something sleek, stylish, with a huge screen and decent data capabilities. I used to keep up with what was new, so now I have no idea what is out there.

My carrier T-Mobile, and I don't plan on changing that any time soon, as my entire family is on it. I'm not too happy with T-Mobile's phone selection, so I'm looking outside, once again.

Anyway, any suggestions in the "big screen, powerful phone" category would be highly appreciated.

Nothing if you're sticking with T-Mobile, unless you want to shell out for the N95 with WiFi. The N75 is a good flip but won't support 3G on T-Mobile, only AT&T. There's a few others...get something with WiFi, so you're not limited to EDGE...there's quite a few, mostly sliders.
 
Yeah, I'm basically stuck with T-Mobile because it has the best coverage in the areas I frequent, plus my family are all on it.

I guess I'm not looking for something with as huge of a screen as the N95, either. From what I can tell, that thing's more of an internet tool that happens to be a phone. It's a bit too big.

So should I simply stick with my s700i until it finally gives up the ghost (which should be fairly soon)?

Some of the Samsung offerings, particularly the u600 are kind of ok looking. I just am having a hard time finding anything that really catches my eye.

I don't particulary care about 3G, to be honest.

There isn't a good selection of sleek, stylish phones with wifi. I'd say just give up on wifi unless you really need it.

You might like the Sony Ericsson S500. Maybe, the LG Shine. If you still want to go with nokia how about the N76?
 
Stick with your S700...
But speaking of gorgeous screens, the N80 uses an incredible resolution... you have to see how crisp the screen is!
