Films where the bad guys win.

Inspired by seeing The Wicker Man the other night, it got me thinking.

Why aren't there more films where the bad guys win? It would make a nice change!

Films where the bomb with the big red digital clock on it actually reaches zero and blows everyone to Kingdom Come!

Wouldn't it be great to see the machines wipe out the human race at the end of Matrix : Revolutions!

So can anybody think of any?

Evil over Good usually means a sequel is in the offering in horror /vampire films

Sorry - but the good guy won in Gladiator.

He vanquished his enemy, was proclaimed a public hero and was reunited in Elysium with his family.

Granted - it was sad they died horribly in the first place - but after that happened, at the end of the day, Max got his result.

Unless Jules and Vincent are good guys in your eyes... heh, they're bad gangsters... yet they still win :)



Oh yeah, and the reason why we don't get unhappy endings is because the movies are made in Hollywood and you have to keep the Americans happy by having a happy ending with the US flag flying, and the national anthem blaring, otherwise they'll get scared...:D
